Anyone ever attempt to buy some used seats from the junkyard with an airbag that was activated in an accident, such as the side ones in the 350Z or similar and repair them? Just wondering how easy this is, or if new seat covers are pretty much needed in that case.

if you just want the seats and dont car for the airbag then either just have the seat cover restiched or if it's a seppt airbag try to fix the flap(like on the maxima, its a seppt airbag from the seat cover). just test them before you buy them. alot of times the seat track bends and you're stuck with a seat that wont move.
