6.5" subs in rear deck?

anyone every install 6.5" subs in the rear deck of 4th gen? i dont really want to deal with a sub box in the trunk b/c of weight and space, so i was looking for some good 6.5" subs that would fit in the rear deck. i found some jl audio 6w0's but they dont reccomend infinite baffel installation and building an enclosure around them would be difficult b/c of the torsion bars for the trunk lid.
any ideas?

I'm not much of an audiophile, but I believe eD is a decent company. buy it straight from them though, those speakers are selling for 50 each direct from the company, so screw ebay..

You're still going to need a sub enclosure with those IIRC. Looks like a good option if you're concerned about saving trunk space however.

They work fine when used as free air. But the rear deck rattles like a ****, I need some sound damping.

Blows Bose out of the water. The SQ is much much better at higher volumes.

Yes, they have lots of mids too but I turned off the mids on my amp. So you only hear bass. I could care less on what the rear passengers hear, I sat back there and you can hear enough of the mids and highs from the front.

Just around teh speaker, you can see some of it on the pic. I need to put it EVERYWHERE though so it will stop rattling.
