Russ is up in Kansas City for the Nissan meet and I checked out his car and drove it TOO!!! We popped the hoods and compared intake manifolds. First off, the 5th intake manifold is tall. I wonder if it will even clear the 4th gen hood. The throttle body is completely different which means you'll need to buy a 5th gen TB which brings up the question of the throttle position sensor and other sensors. The TB is also mounted right near the firewall where as the 4th gens is mounted in the bank valley. On the 5th gen, there are numerous hoses, fuel lines, vacumn lines and such all over the top and around the manifold.

We will compare the manifolds again tommorrow in the light. Right now, I think this will be extremely complicated (lots more than I thought).

If you had access to a 5th gen shop manual and brought out the old tape measure it would make it alittle easier. Last year at the austin meet Mr. Rose and I were comparing the size of the VG30DETT to the engine bay of his 3rd gen and my 2nd gen. Needless to say if that motor was fitted to my car I'd only have 6mm clearance between the firewall and radiator minus the fans! If its possible maybe you should measure the distance from the oil pan to the top of the intake manifold. Then compare it to your car, this should give you a rough idea of clearance issues. But the shop manual would definitly help out on the vaccum hose diagram and where all the sensors are. If worse comes to worse, I'm sure a "modified" hood wouldn't look to bad .
