Serpetine Belt Question...(i Already did search)

Last night, driving home, my serpentine belt snapped. the car was over-heating, but it didn't hit the "H" at all (or go allthe way up.) when i managed to pull the car over, it was smoking of course and antifreeze and water was coming out. is there anything else i should do other than change the S-belt? I just wanted to know if i possbiel F'd something else up? Thanks...

The belt doesn't really have anything to do with the cooling system.
There are two belts, one runs the a/c and the other runs the alty and p.s. pump.

The water pump is driven off the timing chain so the cooling system should still work if any belts snap.

Unless the fans don't come on if the alty isn't working????
