aluminum trip in rain gutter on roof

My 2004 Maxima has seriously clouded aluminum trim on the roof while the trim on the back (by the rear winshield) looks perfect. I am sure this has been talked about but I have been searching for any posts regarding this and haven't.

Anyway, my dealer said they hadn't seen it before and that it was probably something I did. I have since noticed even new Maxs on the lot have darker front and roof trim than rear trim. Nissan wants 200 dollars a piece for these. Obviously, I can't get them replaced under warranty since I have nearly 60K miles on my car. But I don't want the Nissan OEM ones anyway since they aren't real aluminum strips, they are some sort of plastic film with a silver metallic on the bottom. pure crap.

Are there any real aluminum trim available on the market that anyone knows about.

Thanks,
Ed

I have not seen any, but there are places to go to get the stock parts cheaper.. Somewhere on here is a website that sells stock oem parts of nissan parts. I cnat rememeber the site, so i appologize that i dont remember.. OR you could just take them off and Paint Them, the color of your vehicle or Black. Do it yourself, or get a pro to do it.. cut on cost by sanding them yourself.. Just a thought..
