Instrumentation Cluster - Can I replace analog w/ digital?

My '97 GLE analog cluster is toast. I am going to be replacing it soon and would like to know if I can use a '98-'99 digital cluster. If so, will I have isssues (e.g.: engine light on)? Thank you all in advance!

it can be done, just that the wiring on '98+ clusters is different than your '97 so its not exactly a plug-'n-play thing

Thanks for your input. Would you happen to know where I can find a write-up (if there even is one)?

I thought all you need was the 98+ guages and the harness that plugs into the back of the guages. Then you would just cut the harness and match up the colors to your factory wiring.

Is that all there is to it? I really need a new cluster soon - can someone confirm this?

As far as I've read on the swaps here, that's the only thing you need to do, besides adjusting the mileage.

I don't see why you would want to go to the digital one.
The analog one is just so sweet looking.

Yes, I am very interested. When would you be willing to sell it?

Yes, how many miles and off what trim? SE/GXE/GLE? Fully functional? Cosmetic condition?
