Help ASAP I bought a frankencar midpipe and dont know how to install

I bought a frankencar midpipe off a member here on the org and I received the following

midpipe, 2 couplers t-bolt clamps, hose, and MAF adapter

I have an existing popcharger on my max but I cannot make it fit. Here a picture of my popcharger on my car now. Click to enlarge.

are you sure the cuplers are alllll the way in on both ends? it might save you inch or two if you do it correctly. why don't you put the franken midpipe next to your stock midpipe in that picture and show us.

ps. your filter is WIDE but it doesn't look long enough to cause the problem

Just install the stock lower airbox piece and let the fitler rest on it like that.

Call it good since you wont need the brakcet holding it It will rest on the lower 1/2 of the airbox

You definitely need new hoses... I needed them at least. In the picture, rest looks fine to me.

get at least one new hose for the IACV, the crankcase vent one should be able to stretch.

Go get some hoses.. I don't know the diameter or whatever you need but shouldn't be that hard to find. Also, mine came with this bracket thing to hold it in place but right now it's not even on there and it's fine even without that little bracket thing. You can probably find one to hold it in place at like Home Depot. Use your imagination.

The couplers are stiff enough that no extra support is really necessary. I drove with my frankencar for a long time with no brackets supporting it. After a while I bolted a small spring I found from the MAF to a bracket with a hole in it near the strut tower. The spring sort of acts like a shock absorber. Works for me

He bought the intake from me. I sent him everything i had gotten w/ the intake except one more hose clamp which probably gotten lost. I told him that i'll get him an additional hose clamp. But as far as the hoses go, i sent him what i received from FrankenCar.

I also noticed that he isn't using the MAF adapters like i was using w/ my APEX-i cone which could decrease the length of the intake, but using the lower half of the stock airbox would help support the cone from moving as NmexMAX suggested.

He didn't get jipped, i sold the intake to him for only $50 bucks which would've costed him $80 dollars from FrankenCar w/o a filter.

You write that as if you don't think i know these things ..

I paid 60 for my midpipe straight from frankencar, but you guys have to get all fancy and get the shiny version.

FC is weird, as I did not get the coolT bolts, but mine did come with an extra hose for the IACV hook-up ..

Or you can go the Frankencar's website and they should provide instructions on how to install the intake.

Yea check out Frankencars site for instructions, and for hoses you're either going to have to pick up some new ones somewhere local or see if Frankencar will send you some b/c it looks like you're missing some.

I've got a midpipe also and I only got one coupler so I had to reuse one of the stock couplers. I was also able to use some random brackets to support my filter from the strut tower to the battery tie down in this pic>>>
