1 of my fog lights was out the other night. i tapped near the light and it came on . anyone have any idea of whats with that(loose connection, shorted wire)?ive never had to replace one yet so i dont no whats there.

 

Depending on how old the bulb is, it sounds like it's starting to die. Only a matter of time. My suggestion is to purchase two bulbs and replace both at the same time. Keep the one that hasn't gone out as a spare. A good way to keep the connector from getting corroded is to apply some dielectric grease to it. If you only replace the one, I can guarantee the other one will go out fairly soon. Same with headlights.
