Steering wheel cover's?

It could be just me, but I'm not finding my steering wheel to be all that comfortable anymore. Even on short trips, my finger meat aches & my knuckles groan. I suppose it could due to my driving environment (Atlanta's interesting mix of drivers rarely allows for a relaxed hand), but the wheel does seem to be a tad bit too hard anyway. Slick too if I get sweatin pretty good.

I guess I was curious to know what you guys use for wraps (if you do) and where can I find them. Also curious to know if they're Maxima wheel specific or will fit any wheel.

Your input is much appreciated. Thanks.

I use one of those things from pep boys and frankly it pisses me off that they last a few months then I have to buy a new one. If anyone has any suggestions for a good stearing wheel cover I would appreciate it too.

has anyone removed their oem steering wheel? i just bought a used one for my 97 and was wondering how difficult it was and if removing the negative side of the battery was all i needed to do to ensure the airbag doesn't come out. thanks

I've got a wheelskins.com one & I love it. I put it right over the original leather. Takes a while to install but it's great.

I would get a haynes manual or something. I have perused that chapter and it looks like the steering wheel is tough to take out. Once I had to disable the passenger's airbag. There is a procedue to do it, I dont have my manual in front of me so I can't tell you...but I would check before messing with the airbag.

I usually just buy one of the ones from Autozone. They're cheap and they make the wheel feel thicker so more comfortable, they're ribbed too so the ladies always like that

Seriously though, they do give the wheel more grip and are alot more comfortable.
