I dont get it, what is Flavors idea? Looks to me like you DTMed them and then just tinted over the whole thing. Wouldnt it look the same if you just tinted?

I didnt tint the clear part, i opened it up and painted the inside. Im not installing the lights until 48 hours after the paint sets and i put polish on it.

Looks good...I'm excited to see how they end up looking when installed! Did you get brighter amber bulbs for your turn signals? That's something I still need to do because they end up being not too noticeable in the daytime.

Can't say that I like it. The paint was applied inconsistantly, and some areas appear to be darker than others. Also the paint reduces the "gloss" of the lights as well.

this may be true, but you can't tell it from the pictures! you're seeing the camera flash reflect off the red reflectors inside the taillights. this, combined with the angles the lights are laying at, makes it seem that way, but in reality the paint may or may not be even. we'll need to see them on the car in a full-light situation to tell.

also, he said he would be polishing the lights, which will restore a lot of the gloss. of course they will never be as glossy as stock, because the outer plastic isn't totally transparent anymore, but i think they'll still look really good.

It just appears that way. Mine look the same. In some angles it looks darker that what it is.
The lightout put isnt that bad. THeir tinted, not completly black so plenty of light gets through. Ive driven directly in front of Police officers and they have never pulled me over, even at night

Amazing what some people can do on there free time.. PROPS for the tails, but I still love my stock tail lights without the amber in the corner.
