figure i try 4th gen forun also....
i cleaned my tb and aicv, put everything back together (minus restricter plate), and adjusted tps (.500 idle - 4.000 wot). now when im in first the car starts to jerk when it gets to 1800-1900rpms, then revs past and is fine. all other gears ok. when i rev in nuetral it just bounces and wount rev past 1800-1900 unless u give it a LOT of gas.

maf changed 4k ago. i haerd tps syptom is when u cant rev past 1900-2000 but mine eventually does. anyone know the problem here? thanx.

yeah, that problem sounds like the car is in "safe mode" when the MAF screws up or dies ... iv'e had that issue but it happened to me twice and never again ... strange. Make sure the MAF is plugged in properly.

Where did you get the replacement MAF? Is it OEM?

 

Second that, if you're aftermarket chances are it's the MAF. If you're OEM, check it anyway, sometimes it can get damaged during shipping etc.

Try pulling some codes.

Mine Does It Around The Same Rpm. But It Still Drives Strong And It Only Does It In When Getting Out Of First Gear
