i have a 95 max 5 speed with injen cai, budjet y pipe and obx catback. nice setup but these days it's a little too louddd for me. i want to go back to an oem setup with the injen cai, budjet y pipe and a FACTORY catback. what do you guys think. how will it be in terms of performance. will it de a drastic reduction or a little bit, or about tha same.

 

Not sure on this but I`m guessing you`d lose a little hp but reduce sound quite a bit. I think the main gains will be retained sinch the y pipe was most likely your major gain.

also if you do switch back how much do you want for the obx catback. My rear exhaust is shot.

 

Why dont you try adding a big resonator under there? Shouldnt cost to much at a muffler shop...

 

if you put the stock airbox back on you will notice a difference forom the injen

 

try the dynomax superturbo. it's an inexpensive stock-looking exhaust with multiple chambers that quiets down the sound alot. it also leaves a deep growl when you stomp on it. i had it for two years and was very happy with it. chicago winters took their toll, though so i'm just driving around with my old stock muffler until i can get a hold of another dynomax
