225/35/19 too small of a tire on a 5th gen?

Yes I know this should be in the wheels and tire forum but I posted it weeks ago and got 0 replies...

The wheels are 19x7.5 with 45mm offset..
I'm not lowered and not sure if I will ever, but I'd like to know if this setup will have any problems? I'm mainly concerned with the offset as most threads I have read mention 30-35 and it is also only 7.5" wide.. Will it sit in the fender well and all? Also will this tire look really small? Its as wide as my factory 17s...

Thanks a lot

I would go with a 225/40/19. closer to factory specs and you gain a little more sidewall.

Just as a warning as well, your car will look funny with 19's and no drop... I would at least do a minimal H&R drop...

this man speaks the truth, im on 235/35/19's and no drop (yet) and it looks a lil funky. and the ride is pretty rough. bent a rim twice and blew 2 tires.

You hsould run 235/35/19 would be correct. I also have 7 1/2 wide rims with +45 offset and it doesn't look bad at all. But I'm very low, it will look funny stock!

245 35 19 would help protect the lip of your rims. 235 exposes the lips too much.

my 0.02

my current setup is 245 35 up front and 275 30 in the rear.

so 245 is fine for a 7.5" wide wheel? even with 45mm offset?

It depends on the brand of tire. I had 2553519 pilot sports on for a while and the were great. I was broke and needed to replace 2 so bought some cheap 2453519 nankang and couldn't even get them on the rims. In reallity 7.5 rims should have no wider tires than 235.

How much did those Pilot Sports set you back? I am thinking of pairing those with some SSR GT3s.

What's the need for the drop when using 19" wheels? rkyat says his looks a little funky. Anyone care to expand on that?

I got my pilot sports for my 19's used off a BMW M3, that is why I had 255's origionaly and 225's for the front. They are not cheap! Like 300.00 a tire new. On my stock 17's I have 2354517 pilot spots that retail about 275.00 a piece but the prior owner put those on.

No need for drop with 19's but it will look like its on roller skates
