whats the cost to have bumpers/mirrors/hood painted?

im considering, depending on cost, getting parts of my max painted. i need to have the front and rear bumper, the hood, and the mirrors done. how much should i expect to pay for a good job? i dont want to cheap out and get a good price and a ****ty job. if its getting done, its getting done right. would it be a better idea to wait and paint the whole car all at once? the sides and trunk look near mint (save 4 dents. farking mall lots), but the roof could be needing some help in a year or so.

thanks

I was quoted at $1700 to respray front fenders/bumper by one of the reputable, higher priced shops around here. This was paint alone [I had no dings at the time =(].

i work at my uncles autobody during the summer, and we would normally charge around 250-300 for painting the front or rear bumper, around 150 for hood, and mirrors i'd say 50-100 bucks.

Only $150 for the hood? Our hoods are pretty big and you need a lot of paint for it... All the quots I got for the hood where not lower than 300...

300$ for the hood! There telling you it takes alout of paint just to take your cash$ They don't want to hold up there paint booth for less than $300. It takes time to mask a hole car, just to paint the hood. Take the hood off, they can hang it on the wall and paint it, that should be $100-$150.

if you're looking for some backyard/in the woods work the pices above will work. if you wanted it done at a reputable place with a warranty figure 1000-1500. price will vary depending on the amount of work needed and whether they need to blend the fenders for color match. just painting alone book times are about 2.5 hrs for the bumpers and 3 hrs for the hood. so 8 hrs at x/hr, plus paint and materials, plus any bodywork needed(fix stone chips, dings, scratches, rust etc). some places wont polish the paint either when its done( for 400 bucks to do all that i dont blame them) but you get what you pay for.
