woundering if anyone has take out that metal spacer that goes between tb and intake manifold, it seems useless and restrictive. if so any problems?

with the 00VI swap I got a terrible whistling that was at part throttle, it sounded like a BOV that didnt stop... It sounded cool, for the first week, then it was annoying....

When I removed this plate it went away 95% of it

Maybe for you 5th gens that already have the 00vI and all stock it will make it whistle more than my ghetto rigged VQ30DE with 00VI

Didnt feel anything, if anything topend is better I guess since its not restrictive anymore....

Best part was the damn noise it used to make is gone.
