WTF....Auto Climate Controls are STUCK in Econ mode!!! Anyone has an idea?!?
I started the car today, and the when I pressed auto it would not activate it. It was just stuck on Economy mode, and I am not able to turn the speed of the fan any higher or lower with the manual bottons. JUST the **** for the temperature works and it changes the speed of the fan.
Its dangrous because if I need to use the defroster to clear the windshield, and that doesnt even work.
what do you guys think this is?! a fuse for the AC? should I disconnect the battary? maybe that could help?
I hope I wont need to buy a new one, the car is an 02 and only has 58k....wtf my 01 with 133k doesnt have this probelm

I'm not going to pretend to be an expert here, but here's what i would do.
The econ button basically disables the a/c compressor, yet stilll allows the auto climate control. Your defroster uses the compressor, all do, so yeah, its pretty stuck. I figure it's either a glitchy control unit, or something having to do with the compressor clicking on.....
Try pulling your battery cable for a while, perhaps it will shock the unit back into working. Otherwise, my advise would be to perhaps even diagnose the compressor to be sure all is working. However, i'll be honest, unless you are really good at diagnosing electrical, you will prolly have to take this one in for diagnosis.
Hope this helped a bit!

I am gonna try to disconnect it from behind by opening up the center console, and see if that will help it.
If not, then I am pretty sure I got a glitchy control unit.
This is so random

I have somewhat of a different problem, but it's kind of related, since it deals with the electrical system and apparently I don't have enough posts to start my own thread.
But anyways,
I have an 02 Max SE and I have read about the TSB regarding the sunroofing opening by itself. Has this happened to anyone else? I havent used my sunroof in MONTHS, but I get in my car this morning and noticed that the sunroof was cracked open like an inch. Will it continue to happen, since it happened once? I have 46K, so its no longer covered by warranty, but would it be covered by the TSB? Or is it even worth having the TSB done? I heard its due to corrosion on the electrical components causing the malfunction. Is this that big of a deal really?
Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

You should call a few dealers around you to see how much they would charge to fix it. I am pretty sure its not expensive, so give it a try.
I suggest printing the TSB so they would exactly what you're talking about.
