my maxima will start and idle, but it wont accelerate. It stalls when I try. Ive checked the fuel pump, the fuel filter, and the pressure regulator. Ive also checked the vacuume lines.I need to get to the ECU,I saw a site that said you could get into the panel that houses the ECU by going through a place next to the accelerator peddle(?),My email is wer7now@juno.com I really need to get this car running and any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have listed 84 ECM part numbers in a previous post. The ECM is located under the passenger's seat.

When you replaced the fuel pump, did you disconnect the battery? If you did not do that, I would disconnect the battery. Leave it disconnected for about ten minutes. This will re-set the computer. The computer may be confused. I had a simular problem after changing the timing belt. Just a thought.
