belt replaced now squealing.

i found out that the belt i had put on is correct the guy i brought it to measured the old belt and then got a new one the same size. But the squealing is SO BAD. If i start my car in the cold it squeals for 1 minute non stop and its so damn loud and annoying. Even sometimes when i hit the gas pedal it squeals. Anyway what could it be that is making it squeal. Im bringing it back to him monday but i may not be able to make it due to snow. I have a unorthodox UDP.

damn paredline chill out. he's just wondering if there is possibly anyway to stop the squeal since it is the correct belt.

This topic isn't any worse than:

What does a BMW M5 exhaust sound like on a maxima?
What intake should I buy even though they suck?
Ypipe? Do they work?
I saw this turbo noise maker on ebay does it give you 50+HP??

you get the point?

Anyway my belts are squealing too, and need replacing. Has it been raining where you live? Is water getting through the under guards and hitting your belts? Do you have guards under your car?

Look at the motor. It could be anything you see. It could be:

1) the belt
2) the tensioner
3) the pulley
4) whatever it is you have the belt on. You dont even say that in your post.

Why not think about things for 5 mins instead of posting. It makes no sense.

well every morning i notice a puddle of water underneath the pulley only if i leave it outside if i leave it inside the garage it doesnt drip to the floor so im thinking theirs some kind of drain line over their ? Anyway i never had the squealing until i had the belt changed. But its possible the tensioner went bad when i got hte belt replaced. But im not too much of a mechanic thats why i ask. I work at a car stereo place www.safeandsoundct.com.

its not oem. THe person who i brought it to realized that right away and took measurements of the belt that was on there. (Proper Belt for the unorthodox UDP)

as well...check your bearings on the pulley...may be easy to replace and can get gooned up if you may have already had the belt misaligned or wrong tension from the previous owner...had the same scenario for a long time with my idler pulley on the SC before I replaced the bearings and the trouble stopped all together.
