first of it could be carbon build up thats causing the egr temp sensor to trip the ecu. It can also be a bad temp sensor. I'd replace it. Also why on earth would you need a catch can for? And how's the vq35 swap going?
Did you get P0305 or DTC 0305 - if you got the code via the blinking CEL method, then its DTC 0305 = EGR temp sensor, if you got it via an OBD II scan tool then its P0305 = Cylinder 5 misfire
i got 0305 with the blinking CEL...it cant be DTC 0305 cause my CEL would have to blink continuously.
also...would the tb cleaner work??i just spend 90 bucks on an EGR temp sensor..
what would happen if i didnt change it??maybe if i changed it later on?

If you got 0304 via the blinking CEL/ECU screw method, then its a badEGR temp sensor code. It could be a clogged EGR tube, but I would suspect the sensor itself is bad. It's cheap (but not easy) to try clean out the EGR passages first, and if that doesn't work, it's time to replace the sensor.

0304 isnt that a ks?
i got o305.which is an EGR temp sensor...but i have a feeling that has nothing to do with it.
i think the catch tank is screwing with it...the EGR tubes are flexing way too much and is not letting air in the intake manifold...i gotta replace that now.
