Front Bumper Removal: Instructions

Hey I see some little crap information in the haynes manual about how to remove the bumper. i was bored out of my mind today and took the rear section apart and weighed different items. then put it all back together. just to do it.

wanted to do the same with the front but seems like its going to be more trouble than fun. i have a stillen front lip and then just stock bumper.

has anyone got any experience in removing this off and then getting in and taking that metal bumper support thing off. I wanted to weigh it and compare the 97 to some of the other model weights.

See photo below, just want to pull that piece out in the front , weigh some parts and then put everything back together. anyone got a quick list or link of what steps to take.

I just did this but unfortunately I stripped my car down to the radiator... I can tell you that you need to remove all of the bolts attaching the engine guards to the front bumper, this will be about 6 i think under the car, the middle flaps will be entirely removed and the side ones will hang down in the front..
Then, remove the cornerlights, then remove the headlights, a bunch of other bolts will then be exposed under where the lights were... Then you will need to undo 3 bolts on each side of the car where the seam is at which the bumper and fender meet! there will be like 3 bolts sticking out of each side of the bumper going into the fender, on the other side (of the fender) you will need to undo those 3 nuts from the bolts... It is kind of a pain... If you have an hour to take off, then an hour to install its not bad.. depends how much time you got on your hands.. Once you do it once and know where all the bolts are its a peice of cake.. pm me if you need any more information..

The different parts behind the bumper unbolt real quick//

Remove splash guards from under fenders, remove headlights, remove grill, on top of bumper you will find a bunch of clips and bolts, i think like 7 or 8? its been awile. then take your wheels off, then on the front of each fender is 3 bolts on both sides, unscrew these and the bumper should come right off,

also make sure you removed your under splash guards, these will hold the bumper on also.
and in order to access the bolts holding the bumper to the fender you have to approach the bolts from the wheel well.
if it doesnt come right off, start pulling because something is wrong and prob broken.

from my experience:
remove headlights, corners, grill and bumper lights
remove bolts that attach bottom splash guards to front bumper
remove 3 bolts under grill
remove 3 bolts on each side attaching bumper to fender(they can be accessed from bottom of car. reach your hand from bottom towards top. you should feel them and see them)

::EDIT:: im sure i missed a step or 2
