What should a mechanic charge for a clutch job (labor only)

What should an independent mechanic charge for a clutch job (labor only)? I want to know a ballpark range so i can know what to expect tomorrow.

I have the 5th gen nissan clutch kit, and 5qts of GL4. I will have them do the rear main seal too, don't have the parts for that. What kind of cost am I looking at here?

350-450 for labor. this should include resurfacing of flywheel and fluid replacement

Ouch. Anyone in southern california have this done recently? Seems like stuff should be cheaper here.

it all depends if you know ppl, and the right hook ups. usually you could probably get a clutch job done around here for about 500 with the clutch

I paid $250 for labor (including resurfacing and everything). I provided the fluid and the clutch kit from Nissan...The guy that did it said he wouldn't have charged so much but the damn car is so rusted he said he had a lot of trouble removing the bolts and opening things up lol...I'm happy anyways
