Airbag light blinking/05 Max SL

Have a blinking airbag light...no history of accident...brought it to the dealer; they are talking with Nissan tech support...have not figured it out yet. Svc mgr said something about "going into the dashboard"....yikes.
Coincidentally, found the recall notice for a wire harness that may pertain to this model...recall starts 12/15. Dealer knows nothing of this yet. Wonder if there is any connection between the harness and the blinking light....
Anybody seeing anything like this?

Yes the recall starts on the 15th. I don't think that the wire harness in the seat has anything to do with the air bags. Its very easy for them to go behind the dashboard. There are stickies on how to remove the dash. It might be a short or some other minor problem.

Update: Got a call from the dealer...Nissan is shipping them a "replacement control module" ...keeping my fingers crossed ;-)
