window roll up problem
window roll up problem
so my buddy has a 97 max that he just bought and we just realized that when rolling up the passenger front window it pulls to the front of the car, and ends up with about 1/8-1/4 in of a gap between the top, rear side of the window and the b-pillar. any ideas what needs to be replaced or adjusted to fix this?
take off the door panel, very easy to do. there are two screws at the bottum of the door panel;remove the door cup by popping out that round tab and unscrewing the one screw there; remove door handle bezel (cup around it) carefully with flat head screw driver; after those, literally pop/pull the door panel off...the bottum and sides have pop tabs behind them, and the top just needs to be lifted straight up then pulled off. takes me about 2 minutes now because i know how to do it, but should take a first timer about 10-15 mins depending on how extra careful you are...
anyways, after that, check to see if the tab at the bottum of the window in the center that holds it on to the rail/regulator is broken or not fully tight. you should be able to figure it out with the door panel off by just playing with it. if your regulator is somehow busted or broken, they go for about $50 +/-. hope this helps...
