ANSA is an old school muffler that used to be stock on Fiat 124's back in the day. (1970's). I never used an ANSA muffler, but I had a tip on my old race car. It was good quality and didn't rust. It will probably a standard sized muffler not specifically made for the Maxima. Which means modification may be needed to make it fit. If you get it, go to a good shop to get quality work, unless you can weld yourself.

Sorry for not being clear, This muffler was on ebay and has been TIG welded with a 2.5" diameter mandrel bent tube and flange. It is a direct bolt-on.Its the silverline series and for sure is a universal muffler.

thanks for the inputs!

Happy holidays,
Jay

I think it will depend on how you define worth. If you're asking whether you'll gain significant HP or torque as most manufacturers would have you believe, then no, it's not worth it. It's been well documented in this forum that the Y-pipe is the best bang for the buck to get HP out of the car. If you're into looks, then that's up to you.
