My fuel gauge in my 1998 Max is starting to act irregularly. When I first start the car, the gauge reads correct. After about 10 minutes of driving the car, the needle moves to just under the full tank mark. If I stop and turn off the car and wait about 1 minute to restart the car, the needle moves back to the correct location, only to once again move back to just under the full tank mark in about 2 minutes. When I fill the car up, I do not over fill the tank. The car has 120,000 miles on it now.

Any suggestions?
