Yesterday my engine had a different sound to it so I started investigating. It is coming from the rear of the engine and can be heard in the engine bay. I got a hose out and was unable to pinpoint the sound. I got under the car and noticed some oil where the rear exhaust manifold meets the engine. The noise I have sounds like an exhaust leak but an exhaust leak should not have oil, correct? I took some pics and would like some advice on what I should do. I am thinking maybe a gasket is going and that is where I am hearing the leak from and that is also where the oil is coming from. Any ideas?

 

UPDATE:

I found the leak that I was hearing - it is some kind of metal tube that came unscrewed at a fitting. It is located at the right side of the engine under the throttle body, etc. I will post some pics up when I get everything apart and put it back together. I would still like some input on the oil leak though.
