How About REAR Taillight OVERLAY's?

How about REAR Overlays or painting them.. I would really like a clear taillight like the LED type that will be coming out, but like this pic below with them going horizontial, with the areas i covered up to be paintable for the user to match his/her car.. BLACK Housing or chrome interior, but i perfer the BLACK ONLY... you would have to keep the side red reflector, or at least 30% to be legal. again recessed inside the housing.. BUT with LED's for the lights inside. Here is a vehicle i used to do a Microsoft PAINT vesion of just useing our STOCK Taillight.. Again i wish i could use Photoshop at work..but oh welll here goes... FEEDBACK PLEASE..

or this...

No, nope, not a good idea. I dont think this will be a favorite of many 6th gen owners. Looks too cheap.

kinda reminds me of a 7 series. I think for an LED project 1st one would go well. Then you just have one row of LEDs to work with. the bottom row can remain the reflector.

but not overlays.

Thanks guys, it was a start in a string of things i was thinkin about. you could do alot with them. As for the second pic, it didnt com out like i would like to have it.. Again i used Microsoft Paint, and i am much better with photoshop... Alot better i should say... I like the second one, but i would have it being LED Type, and you can paint the parts around it to make it match your car.. It does look similiar to the 7 series (BMW) i believe.. I saw a Nissan Armada, and i really wish we had the LED type like they have.. Might be a change soon for the 07's, which woul dbe sweet.. BUT ONLY if the LED's are Horizontal, and not diagonal like the aftermarket ones tha are coming out. If anything i really wish they would make a black interior Taillight like on the Altima, but not the same. LED TYPE.. But i think that is a long way off, if any.. LAter guys..

The first pic of the overlays looks pretty good. The final product will probably look better since you had to use paint (I admire your courage with that program)... It would be interesting to see them on.
