Thank God For Courtsey (long)
I was just coming home from the gym and about to roll up my windows when guess what?????? The right rear would go up. After spendin enough time on this forum i instantly knew what was wrong. So I figure...eh cant be to hard to fix. Get the thing apart take out the regulator disconnect the motor, pop the factory rivits, and begin to re-spool that wire/cable. Rivit it back together and get it back in the car. Well, I am sure you all know it just dont work that easy. The cable was so mangled that once I hooked it up again it broke all over again. COuldnt have happened at a better time either, supposed to rain here for the next 2 days, took some tie-wire and got the window almost all the way close. When I got to work called up a local nissan dealership just to see if they would be competitive with the price, $101!!!!!! So after calling Courtsey it will be here tomorrow and I still saved $25. Could have saved more but you know how that overnite shipping is. Seems like everything you guys write about Courtsey really is true. Where would we be without them???????
Deja Vu?
Wholly Crap! The same thing happened to me 2 days ago. It was also my passenger rear window. But I still havent gotten around to fixing it. Luckily rain has been away.
Did you say rivets have to be popped? I thought that the regulator was held down by screws. I dont have a rivet machine. Can you please confirm that rivets are involved in a 91 SE as well.
Thanks.

No you wont need anything to pop out the rivits. Eveything is held in by screws if you are replacing the window regulator. I popped out the rivits because I thought I could respool the cable. But that didnt happen. It doesn't take very long to get apart, and I am sure it will take less then 30 min for me to install the part tomorrow. Just go order it from Courtsey and dont bother tryin to respool it.
For future knowledge you can just use a drill with a bit that is the same size as the rivit to get out rivits. Its pretty easy to get them out with a sharp bit. But to put them you have to buy a poprivit gun.
