Clear Bumber lights...should I buy Otto Racing or Custom Max??
Clear Bumber lights...should I buy Otto Racing or Custom Max??
I'm looking to get some clear bumper lights for my 97 SE. I was wondering the difference (if any) between these two. They are about the same price but one comes from CustomMax.com and the other from SportCompactONly.com...I've heard some mixed reviews about CustomMax though. Is there any difference in the quality?? I don't wanna spend too much but I also don't want to buy some cheap crap that leaks/gathers condesation, etc.
I also saw these on eBay for a little cheaper:

I think the seller is ProCarParts.com...
Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

yup ebay. i've bought three items on three occasions from procarparts and have been satisfied. the otto racing bumper lenses are fine and come with the bulbs. (http://www.alfaotto.com/)
The silicone method is basic on aftermarket lights (headlights, taillights, signal lights, etc.), mine are MATRIX come on!!!
(good deal nothing else) .... i know have 2 years with em and no moisture. Good luck

It's been thorized that the ones that you get form CE or SCO are not only just like the ones you buy on ebay but indeed actually are the exact some ones made in the same factory in Taiwan. They CE/SCO ones are just marked up a little higher. And yes, you should silicone the hell out of them at the joint between lens and housing and also where the housing and lens "snap" together. There is no "name brand" on any of them, just different vendors who import and sell them. It's a shame that they all sell products that need to be "fixed" before being suitable for their intended application when brand new but that's the way it is.
I have ordered lighting parts from procarparts.com before and they were fine. Indeed I have a pair of clear corners on the way now.

No. The ebay ones work fine, the DC style looks just as good as the "name brand". It's not like Custom Maxima (or any aftermarket company for that matter) makes flawless products anyways. The 95-96 guys went through all kinds of hell with the 1st batch of the new style red/clears.
