removing strips on doors?

Hey everyone. Im wondering if anyone has taken off the strips on the side of their doors. I'm wondering if it would like better or just stupid. How was it done and was there painting required?

Why take them off when they are painted already?

I think it will look weird without them. Lines like that make the car asthetically longer and sleeker. Just my opinion.

Personally, I like it. I will probably take mine off in the summer and bondo/paint over the holes. It looks cleaner. But to each his own.

i took mine when i was prepping it for paint. just make sure you heat it up to loosen the adhesiveand pull gently. i used a hair dryer. you could prbably use a heat gun as well.

ok, for all of you guys who took yours off. Do you still have them? I know this is not the right place but I am having trouble finding the front driver side molding. Please PM me if you have it in good shape with no broken tabs.
