Those 99'ers With Aftermarket Keys Step In

I'm wondering, for those of you who have gotten an extra key or replacement from street keys or the like that looked like this:

Did it program successfully? What is the model number on the key? I got a hook up at a locksmith that got me these keys, but when I went to the dealership to get them programmed using the consult, it wouldnt work.

Never seen those. I was at walmart trying to get a spare for a door key, the girl said she couldent do it cause it was chipped and would mess up the key thing?

I just find it odd that streetkeys.com would offer this key saying its compatible with 99 Maxima's when in my situation its not. I'm wondering if another programming machine is needed?

She just didnt want to be liable for the key if she screwed it up...

Yup, I got the same key from streetkey.com, it worked. The dealership was surprised as well because they've never seen the key before. I paid $50 for them to reprogram 3 keys, 1 original, 2 spares. And yes, I have a 99 with immobilizer.

yea the place where i got my Viper installed brought in a locksmith and he did in the shop. he had a portable case looked like a labtop, i didn't get to see it properly, but it took him about three tries and it worked.

the place where i got the viper was SPEEDZONE, in Elmont next to the Shell gas station on your right hand side opposite the belmont race track. if you need more details let me know.
