those with blehmco stage 2 ltb.. lil help here..

a while back i bought a used 4th gen ltb on the parts forum. it sat around for quite some time till i tired to have it installed the other day while i was having other work done.. few stupid questions..
1 - ill assume this originally came with instructions and/or illustrations. if anyone can confirm this please let me know. if at all possible, could someone email me a set? i tried emailing matt but his is away on business.

2- the holes on the two fronts seem to be about an 1/8" off to get both control arm bolts on. my mechanic drill the holes out slightly to get them to slide on.. did anyone else have any similar situation?

3- for mounting the rear part, are you suppose to remove the large washers that are in that location from the car? or is the bar suppose to mount over them? when it was put on over them, only about 2 threads stuck out when the nuts were tightened..

to my knowledge, my car was never hit. people have inspected the car a few times and told me that also. what could cause the holes to be off for mounting the front? and what about those washers in the rear?? anybody got pics of this installed also?? mine seemed like it was gonna hang WAY LOW. much lower than my sfc's.. thanks in advance

When you go to install the tie bar, if things do not line up all that great, it is recommended to use a pry bar or some such to gently "form" the bar to line up holes. It is not so stiff that you can't get it to bend significantly. The other thing is the front nuts is a tight fit in the front surrounds--use a regular socket (not thick impact type) and it should just fit.

In the rear, I had to remove the washers, iirc. Some newer 4th gens have a slightly different setup in that regard.

In the end, I removed it after a few months. Was hitting too much roadkill and even worse, road debris. With the car loaded and on undulating roads, it would even bottom on the road surface!!!

I ended up having to bend my bar because I was one of the first to get a Stage 2 LTB and Matt had unfortunately forgotten to include a very important step in the first version of his instructions. You're supposed to remove those black cupped plate things where the rear two nuts of the LTB bolt on! I'm kind of glad I ended up bending the bar to make it fit because I can leave those on. I don't like the idea of removing them. If you're having a really hard time getting the rear two points on the studs, you can undo those three control arm bolts on both sides to give yourself some play, then put them back on after you have the LTB on.

Yeah the front surrounds should be made bigger, I'm not sure he's fixed that.
