New lights I found... head/fog

Dunno how they are actually going to look nor how the output will be but here is the advertised pic (their bulb vs. stock), they should be ariving early next week I'll post real pics and comments then...

Yes they are halogens. I'm just trying them out 'cause I like the color... Also 'cause I can't afford everything I would need to switch over to HID's.

Be careful. some of those aftermarket bulbs draw too much power and can burn your harness. Also, the blue color makes it very hard to see, especially when it is raining.

crappy colored bulbs like that tend to burn out very quickly, id invest in a quality bulb or just go HID, its well worth it and looks the best.

my biggest problem when i tried polarg's white bulb (4200k maybe?) was the fact that the lumen output was just terrible. it was bad enough with the headlights completely clean and in perfect whether... but if the housing got dirty at all, or if there was inclement weather (or both), all bets were off. i got sylvania xtravisions now, and couldn't be happier. they look good enough to me, and i feel much safer driving at night.

Opps, these ones do not, it was the first set that I was looking at that has a lifetime warrentee, still cheaper than the Sylvania SylverStarts that I have already had the replace.

agreed!

I tried the blue bulb thing once, output sucks. You will tell yourself they look cool but int he back of your mind your going to be wishing you could see the road. I bought a pair of M-tech bulbs and within 1 week went back to silverstars because I couldn't see anything.

If anyone wants M-tech bulbs let me know, lol.

SylverStars suck, all they do is burnout, I have had to replace all my sylverStars already. Just figured that I would try these ones out...

One of my friends got me the Matrix Ultra Whites (H4 #01-106) from lightlens.com. These bulbs produce a white light with a tinge of blue. It looks a lot more blue, but not as blue as the ones you're looking at. From time to time I put them in when I want to change the look. Had them for about couple of years. Work for me. Oh I think it's going for around $28.

not to burst your bubble, but if you want the look dont be cheap about it. HID's are a great invest b/c as you have read, the crappy halogens will burn out and MELT your harnesses.

i thought the blue fad died 2 years ago? they are not worth the shipping cost.

some of the light blue stuff like sylvania (or the wal mart GE clones) have impressive results on concrete/whitish roads but on black tarmac, you will suffer.

not to mention water...

if you look at the picture you will see a deminished light output from the blue as compared to the stock.

So what are the good quality bulbs? There isnt really a sticky on just bulbs for pre-5.5 gen, its mostly about HID's and stuff, is Silverstars pretty much the most common easiest way to go? I've heard some other brands but nothing specific or where to get them

The Pure Blue bulbs and the pic you posted are Luminics bulbs, which have a 1 year warranty, not lifetime.

And ANY blue tinted bulb will still look yellow compared to even stock HID's, not to mention all the useable light you are going to lose.

And how exactly does a stock wattage bulb MELT a harness?

It doesn't, only the 85W/100W bulbs burn out OEM harnesses.
