Replaced Injectors twice in a year

Has this happened to anyone else? My fuel injectors were replaced last July after 40k, and they crapped out again this month 51k. Oh, and the MAF died this time. Nissan did it free of charge both times, but I want to know if it happened to anyone else.

That is really unusual. I think you've got a bigger problem if your injectors go twice within a year.

My guess is that it's not your injectors ...

fuel system clogs are common.. injector blockage/malfunction is very rare. have you tried one of these fuel cleaners? work for me..

...Are they clogging, sticking open/closed, or what??
sounds like they are fixing the cause of a bigger problem. (Voltage spike, bad fuel filter, etc)
Possible it's coincidence but highly unlikely..
Ever drive through a flood, wash your engine bay often, modify your ecu, or have your engine pulled?
Any other fuel delivery issues?

I wash my bay once a week, been into my ecu three times, and have driven through many a flood and only had that issue once at 130k miles. I'm betting it's the fuel filter.

What kind of fuel are you using? I mean what octane rateing?
I've heard of the injectors going bad on maximas because of people using less then premium. I run premium all the time and have no problems. Or it could be cause of a dirty fuel filter like stated above. Check to see if you got a short anywhere. Also try seafoaming your car that makes it run smoother and cleans out the system also. Just some suggestions

Never driven through a flood. I use 89 octane, but I'm sure other people on this site have used it with no problem.

I used a cleaner the first time they acted up and it did nothing, but it was probably beyond repair then. How often do you use the cleaner?

I'm not sure what the injectors were doing, but the first time, the car was running lean. This time, it was rich. no flood, haven't washed the bay in over a year, ecu's stock, so is the engine.

PROBABLY something in your gas once cleaned all the gunk from the bottom of the tank, everytime you run the engine low on gas it uses the dirty crap and your filter isn't cleaning it properly.
Always keep your tank over 1/8 to 1/4 full..Constantly running it low isnt good for the pump or fuel system.

It's hard to run it too low. I've had the "idiot" light come on and when I filled up it only took 14.5 gals. If you don't run it passed the "E" it should't be getting too low.

That may be my problem, I usually fill it with 15 or more gallons. I understand the reasoning for not running it too low, but I used to run my old 93 sentra as far down as I could and I never had a problem in the 160k miles that I had it. I guess I'll fill up at 1/4 tank from now on.

Also, go to a Ford dealership and get a can of BG44k and put it in your tank next time you fill up.
