Bearings??

One last question to satisfy my curiousity (confusion)... Are there actually metal (roller type) bearings in what is refered to as strut mounts?? I have determined that what is referred to as "strut bearings" are NOT actual bearings but a doughnut-type plastic piece that fits on top of mount. I'll let this go after I know that defective plastic "bearing" is what causes the low speed noise when wheels are turned and coils are moving... sorry to be persistent but it just doesn't make sense to me that rotating assemblies aren't on some type of roller bearing/greased affair instead of a plastic cap affair. Thanks for your input AND patience with me!! Doug

You are correct! The strut bearing is the doughnut-type plastic piece. Take a look here http://www.motorvate.ca/mvp.php/703
