I know that title may seem a little arrogant, but its part of my mission. For those that dont know, I recently purchase a 92 SE 5spd that is in absolutely pristine condition and only has 62,000 miles. I am going to order the CAI, JWT ECU, and WSP exhaust, but aside from these typical upgrades, what else can I do to mod my car. I dont want to say that price is no object, but the car is paid for and I plan to keep it for two to three more years so the skys the limit. All ext. mods would have to be very classy and elegant.....no 20" wheels with four subwoofers etc..... Please, I welcome any and all suggestions.

Just keep on thing in mind, The ECU should be that last thing to purchase, because you will have to retune every time you add a mod.

If you want to be the tightest (i.e. different)

All those add-on are cool, but everyone has them so no difference there. Since you have a VE, try going boost. A custom turbo will cost mucho dollars, but "I" have yet to see or hear of a turbo VE. Another way for boost is adding a VQ SC. I recently looked at a 4th gen with a SC and compared it to my VE. Swaping a SC does seem possible with a custom mounting bracket. Well you asked, so I gave my opinion on being the tightest/different VE Max out there. Before I forget, if you have ABS forget it unless you're willing to remove your ABS system (I didn't think so)

From what I've heard JWT won't tune it, they just have one program that covers everything. Sucks doesn' it.

Yea Ive heard that too. but as far as i remember when i spoke to stillen staff, they told me they can retune their ECU i think its $50 for every tune after you purchase from them. But then again. Im not 100% positive i spoke to them about this a while ago.

"tight" is different in everybodies mind. Are you trying to please other people, or please yourself? I think 20" wheels on a max would look sweet, I myself will be having three subwoofers. Make your car look good, make it how you want it and it WILL be the tighest max

Thanks for the commments. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to ECU upgrades. I thought that it was essentially one size fits all. Well, I think I am going to spend a good chunk of my budget on performance. Otherwise, I'll probably look into taking my car to a custom body shop that does AAA+++ work and have them touch up the dings and chips and put one of those show car glazes on it.

My 2 cents.....

Hell this is just an opinion. I would replace all my interior lights w/ either blue or red. Such as Door Lights,Dome light,Ash Tray Light,Glove Compartment light,Trunk light, etc. These look tight at night.

What do I have to do to make my Max the tightest one out there....
First, you'll have to get around me!
Then, there's CandiMan. That's a whole other story.
Seriously, I love his interior. The one thing that I kinda sometimes think sucks about the color combination that I have is the tan interior. Man, there's NOTHING that goes with it. You can forget aftermarket seats. Everything is red, blue, black or gray. I can't do anything with my interior.

there was a place that was willing to try to SC a 3rd gen, i'm not sure who it was. skymax (nevin) knows. he told me about it. and you might want to start subtle. Personally i think alot of subtle touches, make for a nicer ride than alot of crazy colored wire looms and seatbelt pads. just my opinion.

Tan interior sucks I wish they had more options. I plan on dying all the chocolate (doodoo brown) panels black in the next two weeks. Then my interior will be black and tan and not doodoo.

If you want to have the "tightest" max then make sure it looks nothing like my SkyBlue or Pearl White max's.

I assume you mean "after" rather than before the two days that will live in infamy. Right?
That still hurts looking at those pix, knowing what you had done to them, and it wasn't even my car.

Hehe.. I mean "before". I consider my Pearl White max one of the worst maximas I've ever driven and I don't like the way it looks either. My SkyBlue max isn't really too special either. To me, it is (err.. I mean was) my dream car. I spent alot of hard work, time, and devotion to my max. I greatly appreciate when people tell me they like my car but sometimes I don't understand why? And most of the time those people do not know about my "custom" mods. There are plenty of other max's better than mine. I must be crazy...

How about doing a customized motorized convertible conversion. I am just waiting to see that thing. It would be sweet. Imagine a 4dsc with a convertible!!!
