have you tried spraying it with belt dressing? I use STP from autozone.

Hmm... Belt dressing? I've never heard of it, but I will get one tomorrow!
Thanks guys...
It probably just needs lubrication with this right?

belt dressing comes in a can, and you spray it on. And yes, it is just a lubricator.... hope this works for you.

If you belt is squeaky Might I suggest that before you use belt dressing that you inspect the current belt and belt tensioner. Could be a loose tensioner that needs tightening OR could be a belt that is frayed and needs replacing. Either way belt dressing is a temp fix ONLY. It could also be a loose AC Compressor/Alternator. Personally get your self a belt $15.98 from Kragen...

I agree...my belt was sqealing before and I re-adjusted the belt tension (tightened it) and it went away. Same thing happened with my friends car and we tightened it and the sqealing was gone.

I just added new belts recently and after a while they loosened up a bit and made a little noise. A quick tightening and it was all taken care of.

Guys my car has the same squeeky problem! How do I tighten the belt? And which one do I tighten? Also how do I know if anything is loose? Im a newbie when it comes to this as I just changed my own oil yesterday so I wo uld like to be able to fix something like this. Having said that, I have 67,000 miles on the car and had it from new and I did not change any belts yet. Should I take it to the dealer to change the belts?

To the left of the engine you will see a bolt I believe its a 14mm but i could be wrong.. turn the bolt counter-clock wise and it will tighten it up... The bolt is directly above the belts so you really cant miss it..

If you've never changed your belts it might be squeeking b/c the belts are old and cracked. It makes that noise either when it's too loose, or if the belts need to be replaced.

You first need to loosen the pully bolt that is right beneath the adjusting bolt next to the engine. That pully bolt locks the pully in place so just turning that bolt next to the engine does nothing. That will tighten/loosent he AC belt.

In order to tighten the power steering belt you'll need to take off the right front tire, remove the crank pully cover and get in from there. You'll need a swivel adapter for your socket wrench. I think it's a 12mm bolt that you adjust. There is also a locking bolt right up from the adjusting bolt. If you think you have the ability to take this on you'll see what I'm talking about.
