You could try searching for this stuff, or look in the How-to section. Anyways, I modified mine like the GAB (Ghetto air box), but instead of using a coathanger I just cut the lip off of the air filter pull out to allow more air in. It made a difference at the top end and made a nice, agressive growl that is not too loud.
Hope that helps.

I think the best of both world, aftermarket sound, stock look and lowend would be the same design as our factory intake, but minus all the bends, bumps, holes, and silencers. Like a straight tube from the radiator opening to the factory filter box, then another straight tube to the TB.

As far as I know there are NO AFTERMARKET INTAKE MANIFOLDS for a Maximas 3.5, they might be testing some or something of that nature.

If you really want responses take this to the All Motor Forum.

There is one in development for the 3.5 altima. I have no idea if it’s going to get finished or not. If it did make it into production it should fit our Maximas.

People have been talking about that for months but nothing has come up for us.... and IIRC, the Kinetix plenum for the Z is like $800. I doubt they're gonna make anything for us and even if they do, they need to find enough people willing to put their money where their mouth is, which is never the case around here.

I got a couple of ideas for DIY mods. When I do my rebuild, I might post some of them if I feel nice.
