Hey , today everythin was fine inthe morning, then later on I turn my car on, it idles at normal RPMs howver it vibrates, then whenever i accelrate on teh road the RPM jumps and and down while accelrating ( kinda like when you run out of gas), anyway I scanned ecu got got 5 5, which is "No failure Recorded/ Detected)

Please help
hmm.. possible
but hang on for some of the more experienced mechanics here to reply first.
I've got a feeling it's something to do with the engine though. (bad ignition coil, loose wire connector, faulty sensor, etc.) Odd that the ECU has no codes.

Hi,
A lot of the people on here know A LOT more than me but once i was messing around with my intake and was about to replace with cheap ebay one and one of the hose inlets was too small and the hose wouldnt fit snugly over it........so my car would do the same thing yours is doing...........i guess check those hoses...........my friends vaccum hose went and it used to do the same thing too.........someone who knows more please chime in

Your coilpacks are going bad, since you said the CEL flashed(indicates a misfire detected) and since you have a 99, im 95% sure your coilpacks are starting to fail..
It's VERY common for coilpacks to do this on 99's.

pretty sure its the coilpacks too. mine sheisted out cel flashing n all and i got some from a junk from a '96 motor. Soon enough those junked out on me too. Try to get some from a decent mileage '98 (get the mitsubishi ones) or buy new. i'm hoping the group deal comes through quick in teh group deal section.
