question about my stock wheels

hey i was wondering what is the widest tire i could fit on my stock 16" rim. i like the wheels and want to keep them, but i need to get the widest tire i can to help out with traction problems that i have. thanks.

225/50/16 is probably the widest you can go on those 16x6.5 's
