neoprene wears quickly with any kind of rubbing against it so id be carefull when using it to hold something in place. i assume your using it to quiet a rub or something. you may want to use a hard rubber

I though it was the best type of mount, dont they use that type of material when upgrading your motor mount bushings and suspension bushings?

Neoprene is a generic term for non-natural, manmade, synthetic "rubber". All the black "rubber" like components on your car are neoprene. The flexible exhaust hangars, stabilizer bushings, CV joint boots, engine mounts (except auto front and rear), door seals, grommets etc. are all made out of "neoprene". Some high temp. silicone neoprene is red/orange in color to indicate that it can handle higher temps.

Erm, most bushing kit upgrades are made from Polyurethene.... not neoprene.

I have neoprene in my knee brace
