Hotshot headers on a 4th gen?

A 99 sel to be exact. Is this possible? Would there be any modification required? If so, how heavy would it be and how much would it cost? Thanks

Add EGR bung to headers or get rid of your EGR. Simple as that.

So it can be done? I got this answer from an org member regarding the same question.

"They will not work, and you will not pass emissions if you do get them on your car. HS have no EGR port, where you have EGR and if you don't hook it up NY will fail you on emissions. 01-03 have no EGR and HS headers are designed for them. My 01 has no EGR and thats why I can run HS headers with no problems."

Like I said, you will need to add an EGR bung or remove your EGR system. I do not have emmisions testing in FL so I do not have to worry about anything like that.

I didn't have to modify anything. Atop from what has already been said, depending how much o2 sensors you have, you may have to add more bungs. The Hotshots only come with 2 o2 ports.

You're gonna have to move the o2 bung that's on the front header because the a/c compressor will be in way.

i have been running no egr for months with no cel, you just need to plug the vacuum line going to the egr solenoid.

Itll be ****ty for emissions, might throw a CEL, but it actually keeps your IM cleaner due to not having exhaust gas going through it. Some people have removed the entire EGR system, but alone it does nothing pro or con, so it takes something like this to make it worth doing.

So do the hotshot headers include a y-pipe? or can they bolt up to a y-pipe (ie stillen, budget, etc).

What the gains? Any dyno's? I havent even heard about this, or maybe i have but just didnt pay attention

no issues. all i did was plug the vacuum line going to the green solenoid from the intake. i had a cel when it was connected so i just bypassed it. so far so good.

HOt-shot headers

On Hot-Shot's website they only show headers for a 3.5L, will these headers fit a 98 4th gen??

How do you add an EGR Bung?

Not quite as pretty as cattman and the curves aren't quite as smooth. Nobody fully answered the original question though. These will fit if you put in an EGR bung?

They will fit, regardless of the EGR bung. You will need to add an EGR bung if you want to keep the EGR.

The only slight issue (and I emphysize slight) that I have with the HS's on my 4th gen is it gets very close to the body of the car at one point. It doesnt actually touch, but when letting off the gas in first, you will hear a slight tap as the engine kicks back and the pipe hits the underside of the car.
