Nissan aftermarket warranty???

I was at Aamco transmissions to get a second opinion on my transmission that shifts hard. the guy told me that Nissan is one of the only companies where I can get my car fixed elsewhere than a Nissan dealer (Nissan approved places only) does anyone know of this to be true?? (under factory warranty)

If the car is under factory warranty then yes nissan will only pay a nissan dealer to fix it. A buddy of mine was able to get his hyundia fixed at a non hyundia dealer cause the nearest dealership was almos 70 miles away, so hyundia approved a local shop to repair it under warranty. But if your car is under warranty why would you wanna take it elsewhere but a nissan dealer

actually i have a berk on order and its coming the same day i get my car back wOOt wOOt lol but i would def suggest puttin the stock intake back in before you bring it into the dealer. Chances are theyll find some rediculous reason to relate your problems to your intake. all i have is a Front strut bar, DDEs, painted calipers, blacklights inside, and a gauge bezel. They didnt say anything about any of that.

Anybody know of any good "exclusion list" type extended warranties available for Certified nissans? Nissan's official one just lists the parts covered.
