Squeaking noises from front passenger wheel well...

I get a squealing noise on my car from the front passenger wheel well when I'm driving around, but it goes in and out. It sounds like a metal scratching noise. Whenever I apply the brakes, the sound goes away, but after I let off, the sound continues to go in and out. I don't get any wheel vibration at all.

I was thinking it was my wheel bearing, but since I dont get any vibration, I'm not exactly sure what it is.

Also, I've had my car lowered for about 10k miles..not sure if that's causing any problems.

Sounds like the brake wear indicator on your brake pad doing your job. Change out your brakes My Maxima did that once when I didn't look at the brakes for a while and I noticed that the indicator was wearing into the rotor on the passenger side. Fresh set of Hawk HPS fixed that noise.

jack up the car, see if the wheel wabbles or if it was any wiggle room (shold be rock solid) if it moves its the bearking, if not just need new pads! i hear Hawks are the best.

well, just jacked up the car and tried to wiggle around the wheel- no play at all. i'm guessing it's time to replace the brakes!
