Center Console 2002 to a 98?

Is it possible to fit one of the 2002 consoles into the interior of a 98? I've seen the consoles on pictures, but haven't been able to figure out if they'd fit.

No. Well, yes, if you've got extremely deep pockets and want your interior to ultimately look very odd.

Yes. They are completely different shapes. What makes you think they're interchangeable? Don't you think more people would have done it?

I'll most likely order one, some people sell the whole console for 35 dollars. It's worth a try Even if it doesn't look like it would work!

I included the first picture because it shows the assembly arround the shifter...they look approximately the same size

Agreed... my best friend has an '02 SE, and the interior is completely different. The seats is his car are heated black leather like mine, but way more supportive and comfortable than my '98. If you want an interior like that, but a 5.5 gen. I still love the body style and interior of the 97-99 Maxs.
