port / polish stock 4th gen intake/tb ?

I was wondering if anyone has done a port/ polish job on their stock intake and/ or throttle body on a 4th gen, and what gains if any they noticed....and i know about the mevi and the 00vi....but allready have a spare oem intake and would prefer the direct bolt on ability and cost effectiveness of the oem setup .

Extrude hone has been done, results were so-so. No matter what you do you are going to be stuck with a crappy long runner design, hence the gains won't be on par with the other manifolds in the upper RPM. Not very cost effective since the results were pretty poor when compared with 00v, and more expensive too.

Unless you are getting it done by an experienced person with a flowbench and for CHEAP, I wouldn't even bother.

My personal opinion? Why pay good money for half-arsed results when proven and significant gains are readily available.

By the way, MEVI install can be completed in as little as a half hour beyond removal and installation of the manifold (since you'll obviously be taking the intake manifold off anyways, and MEVI bolts on in exactly the same way.) 3 vacuum lines, a few wires, a switch, and a vac canister; done.
