First off, this will get locked soon. Second, what model celica, and by "those turbo neons", I'm assuming you mean the SRT-4's, and also, a modded maxima would obviously do better than a stock maxima... be more specific.

 

stock for stock all those > maxima....celica might be a good run

anyways, it's faster than the celica, slower than the evo and srt-4 by a long shot. With a Ypipe it's still the same thing, faster than the celica, slower than the evo and srt-4 by a long shot.

 

what can be done to hold with the evo and srt

 

well think of it this way..
the srt-4 is the fastest fwd production car
the max with a y-pipe is no where near the srt-4 or evo

 

Celica should be easy

EVO will blow by you, same with SRT

 

1st become a member here. -> done
2nd save alot of money ?
3rd go on a modding frenzy modify your car with every possible mod
4th lighten car
5th destroy those two car by a long shot.

easier path, buy a evo or a SRT-4

Stock Evo=271hp>stock max=190hp

 

stock srt4 runs 13.9 consistant. stock evo runs 13.7 - 13.6 ---------enough said.....

Celica GTS Have 180hp and weigh alot less...and there are stock evos in the 12s....jsut gotta know how to drive one

 

You'll get the 6spd celica gts if you have a 5spd. Trust me i've done it with another person in my car

well if you are trying to understand what I meant here is in simple:
if stock it won't hold up at all.
if heavely moddified it will hold up really well, and even beat most of them...

I wasn't being a A** or anything. I was being honest.
Srts will always be faster (their 2nd gear is very good)
Evo don't know
I believe the low end power we make won't matter the slightest agains these two cars. they are in over all faster cars. then again, I'm talking out of my A**

if you go to the time slips section you will find some 00VI cars at the track and you can see how fast they run... which is close to that these cars make (even better I think)
then again... you will need the all mighty VLSD

 

You aren't going to hang with an EVO or SRT-4 without full boltons basically. A mod or two isn't going to cut it, end of story. You will need at least Ypipe, ECU, and VI to have a prayer, and that is only if you are racing like, the worst SRT-4 or EVO driver in history. Bad SRT-4 or Evo driver would be in the low 14s, good maxima driver with most boltons will likely be in the low 14s.

You don't have a chance unless you spend some significant money.

personally i was able to keep up with all these cars, especially when i turned off my O/D... i guess we are same class level.























they were all in 5th gear the whole time....

SRT 4 are FAST but i was able to keep up with my CAI, Y pipe, and exhaust system. ON the starts they will be ahead of you, but usually around 3rd gear the max pulls hard and on the highway i was head to head we raced for about an hour in the Montreal area on the highway. Dont bother with the other cars u listed hehe there not worth your gas $$$$ LOL

what is this crap? they aren't in the same league. it's not that hard to realize how they would compare. experiences aren't necessary, numbers should be enough. a rally-bred car with racing background versus a 4-door family sedan... on any normal day, not gonna happen.

SRT4 = New low budget rocketship
EVO = All out track/rally car, mitsu just through in a radio for fun

 

no dude. no max without FI is going to beat an SRT or an Evo. those cars are WAY faster.

youre talking 285hp all wheel vs 190 at the crank. with an 00vi and a ypipe youll pull like 180hp max.

do the math. the evo has close to 100hp more. no matter how you spin that, you theres no chance you can hang with it.

as for the srt4's.. as much as i hate to admit it, those cars are D4MN fast. even stock an NA max doesnt have a chance.


now if we start talking about a turbo'd max with over 350hp.. now its a differant story.
