Which stereo fits?

I have a 97 SE with a BOSE stereo that I need to replace. Will an I30 stereo fit? If so, what years? Also, will any 4th gen unit fit my car or do I have to get one out of a 97 car? Thanks.

I'm not sure if all i30's have Bose, but as long as the donor car HU is Bose, you are good to go whether it's an I30 or Maxima, or even another Nissan.

Yeah, I just bought a 2001 Infiniti G20 HU and am about to install it in my 97. I think as long as its BOSE and is that same "cube" style HU, you are fine...its jut plug and play.

For a direct replacement any 96-99 I30 radios will work, I think they are all Bose, never saw an I30 w/o one factory. The 99 Bose is the best one, no ***** for adjustments, all digital. You can fit other Bose 6 disk in dash that are the same size with small modifications, same plugs. Just look at the plugs on the back to be sure but all 95-99 Bose will fit with no mods.

I just put a 2002 Pathfinder Bose in my 97 SE tonight. The sound quality is much better, its the exact same hook up plus with the 6 pack cd you can't go wrong. I got it on EBAY for $163 shipped. There is a 2004 350Z radio on EBAY for sale right now. The high bid was $51 dollars last time I checked.

If you go with that 350Z stereo, it will take some modification of the plastic trim piece that goes around the stereo (I have one in my car), the 350Z stereo is slightly larger. Everything in back will connect without a problem. Look for a post on this topic from about two weeks ago.

How hard is it to run the 99 bose in a 98 w/ bose? Everything's the same right?

You should just solve the problem once and for all and get the aftermarket deck, new with the warranty and then you won't have to worry about it again
