buzzing sound near the gas tank

so recently i've been getting this buzzing sound when i first start the car...you know that sound where when you turn your key to the on position you hear the buzzzzz? well it's that sound but it lasts like a minute or so when i turn on the car. it comes and goes sometimes i don't get the noise when i start the car.

i found a thread on the 4th gen forum that i can open the gas cap to equalize the pressure and stuff. i did that and the sound goes away and sometimes it doesn't. anyone know what the problem might be?

I'm nowhere near being a mechanic, and I may be WAY off, but isn't that buzz sound the fuel injection?

its normal. when you turn the key the fuel pump makes a funny buzz noise. Every car i've owned did that. nothing to worry about

the thing is that it normally just buzz when i turn to the on position...it buzz for like 1 second or so then quiet...lately it'll ocassionally buzzz for quite a while when i start the car and once i drive off it for like a minute or so the buzzing goes away. hard to explain but i'll problly get it looked at =/

Lately, I have noticed my car making a buzzing sound after I turn the car OFF! I was worried at first, but I think it may be some kind of resonance (spelling?) from something vibrating under the car. Either that or the gas tank releasing pressure? The sound is loud at first and then fades away. I wonder if your noise is related?
