all he needs now is an advertisement on the side of the car saying "Tofu Delivery Service" in japanese and he's all set.

I still think the original fog is better, just replace the glass lens, or better yet, get a pair in better condition from fellow .org members or the junk yard. I know I miss my original ones ever since I replaced it.

I bought them off a buddy of mine in the air force who just bought me back a BUNCH of stuff from his recent trip to japan land lol.

Im thinkin bout maybe getting some new lenses and redoing them yellow and taking my time to make sure they have even coats.
but im goin to ride on theese new ones for a while and see how they grow on me.
I just got one on an hour ago then broke my drill bit, so that was a sighn its time to call it a day.

That didn't exactly answer my question.

If you are going to pay the $$ for new lenses, wouldn't it be cheaper to buy the Lexus style capsules and get the yellow light without the yellow paint on the lenses?

I think they look alright... I'm was born in hong kong, so all this JDM stuff is no new fad to me. The old school rectangular yellow fogs look good on an old school car like our 3rd gens.. my 2cents.

I dont normally do this but I am going to call BS on those being JDM. They look brand new for one and as I was looking at them I started to realize I have seen them before. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=37350

Which is fine and hey I may be wrong...just doesnt add up to me.

and my opinion is I dont like yellow looking fogs. If you like them thats great but its just not my thing. I like the yellow beam though and will probably buy the lexus capsules one day.

haha yeah they look pretty close. The pictures on their site make them look darker but seeing them in the store (which is where I remember seeing them) they are actually lighter.

jdm? the ones I bought from walmart look 100% identical and cracked after week of driving. I kind of expected that cause I noticed how hot they get. I knew that during the next snow shower they'll go...there is nothing better than original....

well like I said at the bottom of my reply I dont like the yellow fog lens a lot. I dont like the yellow bumper turn signals either that some go crazy over for taht JDM look.

I like the clear fogs that shine yellow. in order to do that you have to buy the lexus capsules. Even then it may reflect yellow when off and I may not like it.

to each his own

the major question is how do they work. doesnt matter if they look cheap if they close but work much much brighter than use them. thats completely your opinion. my foglights look kinda cheap but they are projecters that use an h7 bulb and are bright as hell. its like having another set of headlights.

SKyLine yO!

Seriously though I have to agree with Uncle Cliffy here the yellow capsules will look best. And please don't put the Harbor Freight special fogs on your car it's just going to cheapen the whole thing...

i dont like the look. some people go too far for the true jdm stuff. not my taste. all clear white light looks best imo. the smokek corners on a black or dark car are definatly an exception

im working on and testing differnt stuff to get some jdm looking corners.
im digging my clears corners but right now ive got some ****ty amber bulbs in there wich look like ***, so ive got to go and find some good clear bulbs that are super white at low voltage. wich is hard to do, most of them still are not all the way white and stuff have a amberish tint.

im all about makin my **** clean.
not doing anything sloppy or throwing neons n spoilers and ***gity stuff on my car
apc = a peice of crap
american poser crap

I really like the yellow in the night pics, but I don't know if I like the yellow housing very much.

I miss my old QX4 that had yellow fogs stock. It has basically yellow projectors inside a clear housing.

For some reason they stopped doing that on the VQ version (2001+).

I think the yellow fogs look sweet at night. That's why so many guys (especially 4th gens) are going to the yellow capsules. Once again, I am not crazy about the yellow lenses in the daytime, though.

What are the yellow capsules? Is it something that just slips over the fog light bulb? Is it possible to do this for the third gen?

if you have stock fogs, order some yellow h1 bulbs off ebay.
or go get some jdm yellow lense paint off ebay or something, and paint your lenses.

I kinda like the yellow fogs and I kinda don't. But if you have HIDs then yeah, blueish headlights and whitish-yellowish halogen fogs looks retarded. Go for yellow. It looks pretty good on your car anyway. hehe

I bought yellow bulbs and they weren't that yellow. I think you need yellow glass beyond the actual bulb, like the lenses or projectors. The capsules just slip over the bulbs, but they work very well from the pictures I have seen.

Will the capsules fit in the OEM 3rd gen fog light housing? I'm interested in getting the capsules, haha.
